5) Technically, confirmation of strength only if Nifty closes above its biggest hurdles at 25300 mark.

# STOCKS IN SPOTLIGHT:
1) HIKAL (-0.23%) ended near flat line after enjoying strong session on reports that Amit Kalyani has been re-appointed to the board of pharmaceutical company HIKAL, with shareholders overwhelmingly supporting his return at the company’s 37th annual general meeting on Tuesday.
Amit Kalyani, the son of Bharat Forge chairman and managing director Baba Kalyani, had sought re-appointment as a non-executive, non-independent director.
2) Lemon Tree Hotels (+0.18%) ended with positive bias after the company has signed two new properties—Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, Varanasi, and Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Rewa.
3) The Nifty Private Bank index (-0.81%) IndusInd Bank (-1.77%), Bandhan Bank (-2.4%), HDFC Bank (-0.65%), Axis Bank (-0.85%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (-0.77%), ICICI Bank (-0.81%).
